Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge is the point-and-click adventure sequel to The Secret of Monkey Island, created by Ron Gilbert, developed and published by LucasArts in 1991. Originally released for DOS it later made its way onto the Amiga and Mac.
It plays much like the first one, with use of verbal commands to interact with objects and the ability to choose between different response options when talking to characters. This was the first LucasArts game to make use of their music synchronization technology iMuse.
Playing as Guybrush Threepwood (his name made me giggle), you are searching for the treasure of “Big Whoop” and bragging to your buddies about beating the pirate LeChuck. You are then informed that Lechuck’s former first mate isn’t allowing anyone off the island, keeping you from pursuing your treasure. You go to confront the guy and decide to prove to him you killed his old boss by showing him the trophy beard you kept (ya psycho). Of course he robs you and promptly uses the beard to bring his old boss back from the dead. Newly resurrected LeChuck is hell bent on coming after you. This is a fun and amusing adventure game and has the uncommon feature of a choice in difficulty levels. Your adventure spans over a few different islands (with comical names) and gets you tangled up in crazy hijinks. Nothing old Guybrush can’t handle, right? This comical adventure classic is an essential for the die-hard adventure gamer, but can easily appeal to anyone else due to the easy to use interface and wonderful story.
The game won Best Adventure Game three times and landed at #2 in the Funniest Computer Game category. Monkey Island 2 is not only one of the best-selling adventure games ever, it's a true masterpiece and a milestone in the history of video games.

In order to use the program, you’ll need the game’s original files, which you’ll have to find using ScummVM’s game add-on system to then add it to your library. Once there, you can modify several settings options, including both sound and graphics, thus letting you customize just how you want to enjoy the game by applying post-processing filters in order to improve the image.
The list of supported games is huge, and each new version adds new graphic engines beyond the well-known Scumm system developed by LucsArts and used on games such as Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle and Sam & Max; or Sierra’s SCI which was used on the King’s Quest sage, just to mention a few. What’s really interesting is that many of the games, long considered abandon-ware, have been distributed freely by their original authors, so you can freely download and play such games as Lure of the Temptress, DreamWeb and Flight of the Amazon Queen, all available on Uptodown.
ScummVM is a great tool to relive old classics on current computers, with the added bonus of being able to modify some of the sound and graphics features using a nice interface from which you can access your list of games.

How to set up ScummVM on AndroidClassic point-and-click graphic adventures are a genre that bring you back again and again, as few other subgenres remain as a testament of the prolific production from the late 90s. Fans of abandonware – indeed, nostalgic gamers in general – are probably already well acquainted with ScummVM, a program that can run several retro graphic adventures on modern machines without the headache involved in setting up an MS-DOS emulator. (In fact, tons of the retro games sold on platforms like Steam and GOG run using DOSBox.) But what few people know is that there's an Android port of ScummVM that adapts the controls to touchscreens and in recent years it's been tweaked to run much more smoothly. Plus there's a good handful of iconic graphic adventures you can play on it both freely and legally.
